Featured Band - SUM 41

SUM 41 is a rock band from Ajax, Ontario, formed in 1996. The current members are Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Cone McCaslin (bass guitar, backing vocals), Steve Jocz (drums, backing vocals), and Thomas Thacker (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboard).

I have been addicted to Sum 41 for awhile. After checking out few of their songs, realized that they are actually from Canada! haha! I just bought their greatest hits album recently - All the Good Shit: the Best of Sum 41, records their 14 Solid Gold Hits from 2000-2008. Love this album! Totally recommend!

Steve stated that they wanted a semi-serious video. "The song is about a relationship, but not necessarily one with a girl. Maybe you're better left alone. Fuck everybody else. The last single We're All to Blame was a pretty serious song, too, but we wanted to offset it with a funny video. With this one, we don't want it to be too hokey, but we don't want it to be too serious either. The trick is to make it interesting while playing up the fact that it is a sincere, genuine song." The lyrics totally match with the complicated relationship I am having right now.

The music video is very interesting. Pay attention to the last part, when Deryck sitting in the "lightbox truck", "Perfect Life" turns to "Perfect Lie"
